homeade ice cream without the ice cream churn!

REALLY EASY ICE CREAM RECIPE WITHOUT AN ICE CREAM CHURN.....

Because I needed to justify my boy wanting, okay...more like begging to make homemade ice cream in the middle of our homeschool day... and I really, honestly was not in the mood..I cheerfully suggested that "HE" do it. No further prompting...he headed into the Home Ec (our kitchen) room, dug through my recipe box and pulled out this very easy recipe!

1 (8 0z) container frozen whipped topping (thawed)
1 (12 fluid oz.) can evaporated milk
1/2 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (only use 1/2 the can!)
1 1/2 t. vanilla extract

You can add any goodies to it! We didn't have chocolate chips, so Tommie chopped up a chocolate Easter bunny that we had!

Directions: beat all the ingredients together, in a large bowl until smooth. Pour into a round or rectangular container, seal tightly and place in the freezer for 24 hours.

*note: our ingredients were either fat-free or lite....and it still came out wonderful!
