the newest book in tommie's hands is this newberry award winner, "on my honor," by marion dane bauer. i've read ahead in it, myself...and think this will be a novel that will be very thought-provoking for him. it deals with the main character witnessing his friends death. i found this site, which has comprehension, vocabulary and discussion questions.
