explaining watergate, understanding watergate and the fall of president nixon, was easy.... when i used lego men to reenact the scene. truth is... i'm sort of a watergate illiterate...so, i needed to brush up on the facts, with a book i had on my shelf. now, we by no means know all of the nitty-gritty details of this political-era and scandal... but, we both know "just enough," for this point in our lives.
Cute! He'll probably always remember the day mom pulled out lego men to teach a history event.
ReplyDeleteI got my copy of "On This Day" today! Thanks so much for the tip-my kids are going to have a blast with it. In our state homeschool parents get free access to the newspaper archives online so when I pair that up with the book-they will love it.
