My father-in-law knows how much I love nature. And, how much we weave it into our homeschool! Yesterday, he took great pride in pulling in the yard and delivering this female hummingbird to me! It had died in his barn. The wings were not broke, nor the beak. Perhaps it was trapped inside and couldn't get food? Although we feel bad, we are elated to have it to add to our nature table! And, I will be figuring out how to preserve it.
